From May 30 to June 6 2017 students and lecturers of the Department of Modern and Contemporary History hosted student's delegation from the Institute of History of Wroclaw University. The delegation from Poland took part in the international scientific conference of young historians "Humor and satire in the history of Russia and Poland in Modern and contemporary time", had an official meeting with the head of the Department doctor of historical Sciences V. N. Baryshnikov and Director of the Institute of History, St. Petersburg state University, A. H. Daudov, and visited some of the sights of St. Petersburg and Leningrad region.
The visit was possible with the financial support of the Centre for Polish-Russian dialogue and understanding (grant, under the theme "Spotkali sie Polak, Rosjanin, Niemiec... Poczucie humoru w Polsce i Rosji. Smieja Z czego sie Polacy i Rosjanie").
